Hello! I'm Luna, and my passion is teaching English to young children. I have done it for over 10 years — from my student days, to training teachers, and even while running a very busy business I still teach children directly.
Before creating Buttercup with our team, we studied hundreds of programs and experienced several foreign ones. We realized none of them portrayed the life of Vietnamese children. For adults, exploring new lands is exciting, but Vietnamese children — especially at preschool age when first meeting English — have little to say about Big Ben or Thanksgiving. So we thought about building a program designed specifically for Vietnamese learners. And that's how Buttercup was born!
Buttercup is not only a carefully researched program with a Pre-A1 output orientation on the CEFR framework, carrying the ambition to raise English ability for a generation of Vietnamese children. It is also built with songs and stories set in Vietnamese contexts — where children feel at home, connected, open and confident to absorb a new language.
